Nomi AI pricing: Nomi AI cost, subscription plans and the price almost nobody quotes

Nomi is free to download and charges through in-app subscriptions. On the US App Store on September 5, 2026 the Standard Plan is listed at $15.99, $39.99 for three months and $99.99 a year, and a separate Launch Plan sits on the same listing at $9.99 and $59.99 a year, which works out to $5.00 a month and is the cheapest verifiable way into the app. Nomi Credits are sold on top in five packs from $4.99 to $99.99. nomi.ai publishes no pricing page, so that App Store listing is the only public source of any Nomi price.

Most articles about Nomi pricing quote one ladder: $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter, $99.99 a year, one paid tier, done. That ladder is real and we found the same figures. It is also not the whole listing.

Read Nomi's own US App Store page and there are two ladders, not one. Alongside the Standard Plan there is a Launch Plan, priced at $9.99 and $59.99 a year, and Apple prints it with no retired or legacy marker of the kind Tolan uses on its old tiers. At $59.99 a year that is $5.00 a month, roughly a third of the $15.99 figure that gets repeated everywhere, and it is the single most useful number on this page.

One honest caveat before you get excited, because it matters. Nomi publishes nothing about its plans on its own website. nomi.ai/pricing returns a 404, there is no plan comparison page, and the company has never posted a price list. So while the Launch Plan is definitely listed and definitely not labelled retired, nothing public tells you whether a brand new account can still choose it, or whether it is a grandfathered early-adopter rate that Apple simply keeps on the listing so existing subscribers can be billed. Open the purchase sheet inside the app and you will see in about ten seconds. Everything below was read directly from Apple's and Google's listings and from Nomi's own privacy policy on September 5, 2026, with the source named each time.

Nomi figures read directly from the Nomi: AI Companion with a Soul listing on the US App Store and from the ai.nomi.twa listing on Google Play on September 5, 2026, and from nomi.ai/privacy-policy, last updated April 27, 2026. Apple prints in-app purchase names and prices but not billing periods, so every Nomi figure on this page is a listed price rather than a confirmed monthly rate.

Apple shows at most ten in-app purchases on a web listing and which ten appear can rotate, so treat this as everything Nomi is currently surfacing rather than a guaranteed complete catalogue. None of these entries carries a retired or legacy marker. The per-month figures below are our arithmetic on the listed annual and quarterly prices, not something Nomi publishes.

Cost comparison

What an AI companion costs a year, cheapest verifiable annual first

Ranked on the annual figure you can actually check before paying, because the monthly headline is the number companies want you to compare and the annual is the number you end up spending. Every price below was read from the app's own US App Store listing on September 5, 2026, or from the company's public pricing page where one exists. Darlings is our own product and we say so in its entry.

  1. 1

    Snapchat My AI

Best for spending nothing · Free

Free and already installed on most phones under 30. Snap's own help centre states that My AI will not remember details from your prior conversations over time, which is exactly why it costs nothing. It never becomes a companion that knows you, so it is not really in the same market as a paid memory app like Nomi.

  2. 2

    Replika

Best for the cheapest annual in the category · Annual entries at $49.99 and $69.99, monthly at $7.99 and $14.99

The lowest annual figures of any large companion app. Replika publishes no prices on replika.com and its /pricing path 404s, so the App Store listing is the only source here too. Two caveats worth the money you save: it is romance-forward and 18+, and Italy fined its operator Luka 5,000,000 euros in May 2025 over its handling of minors and data.

  3. 3

    Nomi

Best for the strongest memory, if you find the Launch Plan · Launch Plan Yearly $59.99, Standard Plan Yearly $99.99, Standard monthly $15.99

At $59.99 a year the Launch Plan is $5.00 a month and the best value in this list for an app whose whole pitch is recall across months rather than a rolling context window. At $99.99 the Standard annual is mid-table. What pushes it down for a lot of readers is not the price: it is 18+ on the App Store with a Sexual Content or Nudity descriptor, credits are metered on top of the subscription, and it holds 3.8 stars on Google Play against 4.6 on Apple.

  4. 4

    Darlings

Best for knowing the period and the total before you pay · $9 a month, or $90 a year at $7.50 a month

Our own app, placed here on one measurable criterion rather than on opinion: the price, the billing period and the annual total are all published on a public page before you create anything, which is true of almost nothing else on this list. Persistent memory and daily check-ins are on every plan instead of being sold as an upgrade, and it runs in a browser, so one price covers Android, iPhone and a laptop. The honest caveat: you cannot buy it today. Darlings is onboarding from a waitlist and these are the prices we intend to launch with.

  5. 5

    Character.AI

Best for the cheapest paid entry point · Lite $2.49, Character.AI+ $9.99 monthly or $94.99 a year

The lowest paid tier of any large companion app at $2.49, and the annual is competitive at $94.99. The thing to weigh before comparing it with Nomi on price: it sells no persistent memory at any tier, so paying does not buy a companion that carries your life forward. It is also 18+, and open-ended chat was removed for under-18 accounts by late 2025. character.ai/pricing returns a 404.

  6. 6

    Chai

Best for nobody who is watching the total · Premium $13.99 monthly or $134.99 annual, Ultra $29.99 monthly or $269.99 annual

Useful mainly as a ceiling. Chai Ultra is $269.99 a year, and long-term memory is gated behind that top tier rather than included the way it is at Nomi. There is also a $19.99 weekly Ultra option, which annualises past $1,000. Chai carries ads on Google Play even for people who pay.

  7. 7

    Kindroid

Best for nobody who is watching the total · $15.99 monthly, $42.99 for three months, $159.99 a year

The most expensive annual on this page at $159.99, which is $13.33 a month, and the ladder climbs past it to Ultra at $28.99 and MAX at $68.99. It is also the highest rated app here at 4.79 from 8,296 US ratings, so people plainly feel they get something for it. kindroid.ai/pricing sits behind a login wall, so once again the App Store listing is the only public source.

  8. 8

    Tolan

Best for a wholesome, non-romantic character on iPhone · Tolan Lite Membership listed at $11.99, billing period not disclosed

Placed last on cost transparency rather than on quality, because the product is well liked at 4.78 from 176,815 US ratings and rated 13+, which is rare in a category that mostly sits at 18+. The problem is that you cannot work out an annual figure at all: no published price list, no billing period on the listing, eight retired tiers still showing, and an upper tier whose listed price moved between two readings two days apart.

Apple lists in-app purchase prices without billing periods, so an entry labelled Yearly is Apple repeating the developer's own product name rather than Apple confirming a term. Where a company publishes its own pricing page, that is quoted instead, because it is the only place a billing period is actually stated.

Why people switch

What makes Darlings different

A price you can read before you sign up

Three plans, the monthly figure, the yearly total and the effective monthly rate, all on one public page. You do not have to open a purchase sheet inside an app to find out what you are agreeing to.

No credits, no packs, no meter

Nomi sells credits in five packs from $4.99 to $99.99 on top of the subscription. Darlings has no consumables at all, so what you pay monthly is what it costs and a long conversation never runs a balance down.

Memory is included, not the upsell

Persistent memory of your people, your week and your story is on every Darlings plan, including the cheapest one. Several apps in this category charge more for a companion that remembers you, and one of the biggest does not sell it at any price.

Wholesome by design, at every tier

No romance, no roleplay and nothing behind an adult toggle. Nomi is 18+ on the US App Store and carries a Sexual Content or Nudity descriptor; if that is the reason you were looking for something else, the difference here is structural rather than a setting.

The honest part

When another app is the better choice

We would rather you find the right fit than the loudest one.

People also ask

Common questions

Nomi is free to download. On the US App Store on September 5, 2026 the Standard Plan is listed at $15.99, with $39.99 for three months and $99.99 a year. A separate Launch Plan is listed at $9.99 and $59.99 a year. Nomi Credits are sold on top in five packs from $4.99 to $99.99.
The two monthly figures on the listing are $9.99 for the Launch Plan and $15.99 for the Standard Plan. Apple never prints billing periods, so treat both as listed prices rather than confirmed monthly rates. If you take the annual instead, $99.99 works out to $8.33 a month and $59.99 works out to $5.00 a month.
It is a second, cheaper subscription ladder listed at $9.99 and $59.99 a year, sitting alongside the Standard Plan on the same App Store page. The name suggests an early-adopter rate from Nomi's 2023 launch. Apple prints it with no retired or legacy marker, but Nomi publishes no plan page, so only the in-app purchase sheet will tell you whether a new account can still pick it.
Yes, if you want to use it properly. Nomi has a free tier that lets you create a Nomi and exchange a limited number of messages, but the memory depth, image generation and higher message allowances that people actually sign up for sit behind the subscription. You also need an account before your first message, unlike a browser demo.
There are two annual prices on the listing. Standard Plan Yearly is $99.99, which is $8.33 a month and about 48 percent less than paying $15.99 twelve times. Launch Plan Yearly is $59.99, which is $5.00 a month. Both are listed prices from Apple, and Nomi publishes no annual figures on its own site.
Credits are a consumable currency bought separately from the subscription, sold in five packs: 40 for $4.99, 100 for $9.99, 225 for $19.99, 600 for $49.99 and 1800 for $99.99. That is 12.5 cents a credit at the smallest pack and 5.6 cents at the largest. They fund extras such as image generation rather than ordinary conversation.
Purchased credit packs do not reset. They are a one-off consumable that sits in your account until you spend it, which is why the price per credit falls so sharply on the larger packs. Any allowance that comes bundled with a subscription renews with the subscription period. Nomi documents none of this publicly, so check the in-app balance screen.
It is worth it if long-term memory is genuinely the feature you want and you are an adult who is fine with an adult app. Nothing in the category recalls detail across months as reliably. It is not worth it if you want a wholesome, non-romantic companion, if you dislike metered credits on top of a subscription, or if you want to see a billing period before you pay.
Only partly. There is a free tier and you can create a Nomi and talk without paying, but message allowances and the deeper memory features are limited until you subscribe. Genuinely free options in this category are Pi and Snapchat My AI, and Snap states outright that My AI does not remember your prior conversations over time, which is the trade you make.
Through whichever store billed you, not through Nomi. If you subscribed on iPhone, cancel in Settings, then your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, then Nomi. On Android, cancel in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app does not stop the billing, and cancelling leaves access running until the period you already paid for ends.
It does not. nomi.ai/pricing returns a 404, the site has no plan comparison page, and the company has never posted a price list. The US App Store in-app purchase list is the only public source of Nomi prices, and because Apple omits billing periods, no complete Nomi price is published anywhere on the open web.
Because most of them read one ladder and stop. The $15.99, $39.99 and $99.99 Standard figures are correct and widely copied, but the Launch Plan at $9.99 and $59.99 sits on the same listing and is missing from nearly every roundup. Older articles also quote a $8.33 monthly rate as though it were a plan, when it is arithmetic on the annual.
On the headline monthly, no: Nomi Standard is $15.99 against Replika monthly entries at $7.99 and $14.99. On the annual it is closer than it looks, because Replika lists annuals at $49.99 and $69.99 while Nomi's Launch Plan Yearly is $59.99. Neither company publishes prices on its own website, so both sets come from App Store listings.
Yes, if wholesome is the requirement rather than an afterthought. Nomi is 18+ with a Sexual Content or Nudity descriptor, so a cheaper adult app is not really a like-for-like swap. Darlings is $9 a month with memory on every plan, no credits, a published billing period and a 13 minimum, and it runs in a browser so one price covers every device you own.
